Meet the Herd
Our Horses
Our horses are chosen for their gentle nature and calmness. They have a hard job and must adapt to the many different needs of our riders. Finding appropriate horses for our program is a challenge so a great deal of care is given to them so they can continue to provide this therapy.
We've had some amazing horses over the years, and this is our most recent dream team! All of our horses have been or are currently going through extensive training with our wonderful trainer Milan, who has achieved her Equitation Science International Diploma.

Sponsor a Horse
Here’s a great way to help PRTRA. Consider sponsoring one of our Horses through the “Sponsor A Horse Program.” Costs may include feed, bedding, farrier and veterinary costs, replacing special tack, maintaining and repairing stable and the pasture.
Your sponsorship will maintain one of our special horses of your choice for one year. Our Sponsor a Horse program gives corporations, groups and individuals the opportunity to support the “backbone” of our program - the horses.
Sponsors are recognized for their contribution in many ways...
