Rachel Koopman-Gough

Rachel holds a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, and is currently completing her Diploma in Animal Osteopathy.
Rachel has a special passion for equine and canine biomechanics and the development of the human-animal team relationship. At college, she studied Applied Sports Science and coaching for elite athletes (with her focus being riders with diverse needs). She is certified as a Canine Strength & Conditioning Coach through North Carolina State University and is also a Certified Canine Bodyworker. A dedicated dog trainer, Rachel is a nationally ranked Rally Obedience competitor with both of her dogs and delights in helping others find joy in their partnerships while working toward their goals.
Teaching and sharing knowledge have always been central to Rachel’s life - from early years of instructing and volunteering with the New Zealand Pony Club and New Zealand Riding for the Disabled, to working as a Flight Instructor, as well as years of professional roles within the HR and OHS fields.
In the equine realm, Rachel's particular love is dressage and groundwork. She is excited to be completing her CanTRA instructor certification and is committed to delivering safe, individualized, and empowering therapeutic riding and equine-assisted experiences.
